English as a Second Language
Designed lesson plans for Multilingual Scholars (languages include Arabic, English, Italian, Portugese, Spanish, Swahili, and Vietnamese). Implemented strategies to uplift multilingual and international students. Course design focused on the four domains of Listening, Reading, Speaking, and Writing, as well as emphasized cultural and global awareness.
Writing for Academic Purposes specifically for International Students
Designed and implemented a 4-credit hour course that requires students to compose four MLA-style essays including an analysis, argument, research, and hybrid essay with a total of at least 50 pages of writing. The course maintained a focus on the goals and skills appropriate to international students and speakers of other languages as well as Global Education.
Introduction to College Study
Designed and implemented college-level readings and techniques for organizing text. The curriculum prepared undergraduates for the rigor of college and strategies for entering the global community.
